John R. Timmer is counsel at Robson & Robson, P.C. and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters. John has more than twenty years of experience in a wide variety of litigation matters on behalf of individuals, businesses, and government agencies on both the plaintiffs’ and defendants’ sides. John has experience trying both jury and non-jury cases in Pennsylvania state and federal courts, representing clients in a variety of arbitration matters at all stages, and litigating appeals in both federal and state courts. Prior to starting at Robson & Robson, John was a partner at a large civil litigation defense firm in Philadelphia and also worked at a prominent plaintiff’s class action firm.

Represented a former owner of a mechanical contracting company with respect to claims for tortious interference, defamation, and breach of contract
Represented a business that entered into contracts to provide personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic in various matters asserting breach of contract claims
Represented plaintiffs and defendants in professional malpractice claims
Represented an airline in international arbitration involving breach of contract claims involving the United Nations
Represented a court-appointed received to recover funds for the benefit of defrauded investors in a Ponzi scheme
Tried multiple cases in federal court pro bono on behalf of incarcerated individuals asserting Section 1983 claims
Represented a university president in a defamation claim relating to a publicly available report
Represented a former actor in a breach of contract action relating to a prior settlement agreement
Represented the Pennsylvania Department of Health in action relating to recall of medical cannabis vape products
Represented various tenants in landlord-tenant actions
Represented an investor in lawsuits alleging that he engaged in a “short and distort” securities fraud scheme
Represented a labor union in a class action relating to alleged violations of the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act
